I have at present a Beosound 4000 connected to 3 1658 Passive amps in various areas of the house operated through the Ir eye..... Everything is connected via a plug in Master link splitter box which has a fixed amount of inputs. (Video, sound outs I believe). I would like to add a few more stations to the house namely a Beosound 2000 for the laundry room. Would I be able to just cut into one of the master link leads running from the Master link splitter box and use a Master link junctions box or do I have to look at other possibilities? I love the plug n play aspect of the box I am using now but I do understand that I limited in outputs from it. If B&O only sold a bigger plug in box.
Well ill hopefully the forum can help me out...
thank you
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
You can cut the ML cable and connect up to two further 'ML-strings' using the junction box.
I suppose you could connect another ML-splitter-box as well - if you could get hold of one.
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I have the preterminated cables in the box at present how would I jumper to another box? I mean that is a great solution and it continues to be plug n play as well. Which I do prefer just not sure how to do it? Do I just buy another box for preterminated cables? If so which connection port do I use from one box to another?
Thanks
striker27:All of the ports run in parallel. They're only labeled for keeping track of your system. You can purchase a 1 meter ML cable and jump the Signal from one box to the next, using any plug you like in your current Ml box. Then just hook up what you want to the new ML junction box and voila. You're done!!!!I have the preterminated cables in the box at present how would I jumper to another box? I mean that is a great solution and it continues to be plug n play as well. Sure the box is the easiest solution - but what if you have to run the cable through a wall to go to a different room
Not everyone wants to drill such a large hole in the wall to get the plug through.

I have no issues with the hole in the wall for the connector. I am able to conceal it behind the baseboard moulding. This is the solution I have been looking for. The two boxes will work great. I just have to search out the internet auction sites for a bit and pick one up with some additional cables. That said would the video slot on the box be open for another link room active or passive as far as audio goes? That may allow to hold off on additional boxes at least for awhile. I really thought the master link distribution box was significantly more sophisticated then what it appears to be. Was not aware about the ability to daisy chain it either.
Great info
Thanks for your info and help.
