Hello

I have a Beovision 7-32 mk1 and have just got a "hd-ready kit" and two chip with sw 7.94.

Were do i replace the two chip?

It seems to be three chip in the little box on the back of the tv

Does anyone have "the manual (instruktions)" for this job?

Best regard Lofke

Think think there is a bit more involved in the job I'm sure you have to update the software in the tv via a computer which means a service engineer!!

Attached are instructions for installing an HD Ready Kit to a BeoVision 7-32.

However, your problem will come when you get to the last section where you need to update the M2 flash software with the B&O service tool. You will need to call on your B&O dealer to do that for you.

Regards Keith....

And to add: You will not have any picture without the flash! So you can't fit the board and the newer upc software and have a softwareuodate some time later.

Yes, I found that out the hard way.....Thought I had broken something but after swiching back to the old card and sw it worked again.

I don't know if the tv is worth taking to a beodealer for flashing.

Question: Does the 7-31 mk1 show 720 using component input whiteout HD-ready kit, or does it "scale-down" to 576

The HD ready kit is probably more valueable than the BV7-32 mk1 ;-) . the same kit fits also in a BV7-40.

Never tried 720p at mine (BV7-40 mk1/2), but as 720p is a hd-ready format, it probably wil not work. So 567p will probably be the max.

Yesterday i connected Component from sat-reciever with settetings 720p. in reciever.

Picture is much better (sharper) than scart (rgb). (could someone already have installed HD-ready kit?)

If I use 576 on reciever=no Picture

If I use 1080 on reciever= no Picture

If i use 720 on reciever= great Picture

I have removed scart Cable when using Component

Could it be that Mk1 accepts Component 720, but it needs HD-ready-kit for 720 on DVI-input

Best regards Lofke

The easiest why to check is in the TV menu, go to Options>Connections>select any AV input and see if they say HDTV at the bottom.

Then they all have the HD Upgrade as everyone shows the HDTV option. 2 of them also show HDMI I think this is for the gefen switch right?
