Have been using the Atlona Matrix for some time for multiroom HD signal dispatch. It works just perfect. No issue whasoever, very stable.

The only downside is the price.

The early pro 8x8 versions had issues but the pro3 4x4 is brilliant and now comes with a 10 year warranty

I use matrix 8x8, but not all families like to use beo 6 ,and have big problems using beo4.

to open the dvd: example. V.AUX2 - GO -0-2-GO-0

have to be very good and fast fingers so you can open dvd with beo4 Smile

Been using the previous generation (ie not pro3) 4x4 and it's flawless - very little if any delay when switching sources.

Not sure what the Go-0 is all about but perhaps that's a function of the TV's more than the matrix? Mine's connected to a BV11 and a V1 and for me selecting a source is a single button. DTV selects my STB, V.MEM for my mac mini, DVD for Roku etc.

Perhaps BSys4 integration better than BSys 3?

Also to note, i bought the 'normal' Atlona off eBay and just had my dealer order me the special B&O PUC cables - one for each TV. Works perfectly so no need to pay the B&O 'tax' for the 'special' version, the only difference is the PUC cable which you can buy as a spare part.

yes use beosystem platform BeoVision 9, 8, 10

Yes I saw this on another new platform, you can enter tv, dtv or whatever.

makes it possible to use much easier beo4 .

Shame Beo4 can't do macros.

In this instance we swap the Beo4 for a RTI T1-B+

beo 4 works well with the new platform beosystem 4.

but it seems that they have no interest whatsoever to create the same system for  beosystem 3

they say you have to use beo6., but now no longer produce beo6 was removed from the market

If you need macros or if you just want your older B&O video chassis's to preform better in conjunction with the Atlona matrix system you could always just get a MLGW.

The newer chassis's can handle all of the needed commands in one button press on a Beo4.

Atlona matrix systems are relatively bullet-proof. I have only experienced issues where people cheap out on the proper cables to them, or if it is a MKI Pro product. All others are near flawless.

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Is anybody using the Atlona H2H-44M (88M) HDMI Matrix switcher?

If so, do they work properly?

What about the matrix wiring/programming? You just connect all PUC devices to matrix inputs and your Beovisions to the outputs - that`s simple...

But how does puc wiring and -programming work?

Thanks

Stefan

I would have thought that at least dealers/installers on the forum can give some advice.....(?)

Atlona works great with all B&O kit. Update your TV puc and connect a puc cable to control the Matrix & Cat Balin receiver that you will get with your Matrix. From there run your cat connections to the Matrix. Connect all video and ir cables from your devices to the Matrix system itself. Turn on and enjoy :)

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

Thanks for the replies. As I understand it, sources will be connected to IR-OUT 1-4 for PUC control and displays i.e. Beovisions to IR-IN 1-4 on a PRO3 switch, right?

I`m referring to 44M versions..

So, an Atlona H2H won`t work, as it ha no IR sockets. My initial question was referring to the H2H-44M.

Or will it work adding the HDXX-IR transmitter/receiver?

I would like to add the H2H version, as it`s less boxes and less cabling (I don`t need more than 15m HDMI in most cases)

A bit confusing for me is the V.AUX - GO - 02 - GO.....message.

Did anybody got the system working on a BS3 based system by activating sources (and controlling sources) by just one press, as we all are used to

control Beosystems`

Thanks

Stefan
