Hey everyone
I have a classic Beogram 1202 and there is a strange 'ticking' sound coming from to upper left corner when I press 'Lift' and it starts turning. I have recorded it on video (28 sec) and would like some help to figure out where this sound comes from and how I can fix it.
Thanks,
Jeppe

Dirt or damage to the brass motor pulley is my guess.Maybe a little piece of insulation tape touching the motor anchor.

Ok, thanks, Martin. Can I loosen the "shell" and look inside by loosing the screws underneath?
If that's the black bottom plate, then yes.
Or the rubber on the flywheel is hardened, and the brass pulley is contacting an irregular spot on the flywheel's rubber.
That requires a rebuild of the flywheel, with new rubber.
Check Terry's Rubber Rollers - I've had a bunch of these redone by him, with excellent results.
I've used Terry too and can also recommend him. However, the frequency of the ticking, I think, is consistent with the revolutions of the motor ratherthan that of the idler wheel.
