hi ive just orderd a new belt for a 9500 is this a job one can do himself is there any info I can get on how to change the belt is it an easy job or not thanks
Presume you mean the Tape Deck belt, in which case yes it's quite an easy job as long as you have the correct belt - there are two different types. The BC9500 dismantling instructions are available in the service manual.
I ordered mine from Martin (Dillen) and he provided fitting instructions.
hi ordered from martin as well when you say easy do you have to take the top off or do you have two take the bottom off? to replace the belt let me know as much as poss before the belt arrives so I do not make a mistake thanks shaun
The entire top of the BC9500 pivots forward into a service position, so you do not have to remove it. Makes sure that you remove the glass panels first in case they are loose and drop off.
The Tape mechanism is quite easy to remove if you take your time, the only tricky bit for me was taking care to disconnect the various connectors, and then careful reassembly to avoid bending the connector pins.
hi guy after undoing the screws back and front Ifind I can onlylift it so far and not into the service pos don't whant to force anything is there somethink I should look for as for the glass already taken them off and ordered new tape for them thanks again for your help
It should go up this high and then there is a metal support rod that holds it in position. Check that nothing is restricting it at the hinge end - you may need to move it around a little.
cheers guy will try tomorrow will let you know how I get on not sure when the belt will arrive but whant to get things ready
hi guy as yet still waiting for the belt for the 9500 so will not try to open the unit I have replaced the double sided tape on the glass will put the glass back on once I change the belt let you now how I get on
Sounds like you are forgetting the three screws at the extreme lower front of the Beocenter.

My thoughts as well Martin but OP says back and front?
Depends what type of CD unit is installed but the CD lid normally must be in closed position before you open the lid.
Brengen & Ophalen
Yeah. Could it be that he tries to lift at the front ?The hinges are in the front so it would have to be lifted up at the rear.
And yes, the CD door needs to be closed.
hi martin I lift from the back off the unit towards me but it seems stuckon the right hand side the cd side both doors are closed I will work it out
hi guy when you say to disconnect the various connectors on the 9500 do you mean the two at the back one brown connector and one blue the cd end of the unit brown came off easy but the blue wont move don't whant to force it but that is were the unit seems stuck to lift it into thr service poss shaun
