Hello,

one of my LC2s just stopped responding to IR commands, it worked fine for a few days (recently bought it) but now it has stopped working. Touch is still working though so the whole unit is not broken.

I have tried moving it around in my apartment to see if this was caused by some interference (yes I have a plasma) but I cannot get it to work.

I have a couple of other LC2s which works fine in the same outlet and I have tried replacing the dome.

Does anyone know if this could be some programming issue - can one program a LC2 to stop responding to LIGHT + LIGHT on the Beo4? (I was trying to reset the light levels the other day but as I was reading instructions for a Beolink 1000 I might have messed something up)

Anyway, if noone has any quick idea, could you please tell me how I should go about to replace the IR receiver - I have one LC2  that I use for spares so I am hoping I could salvage parts from that one. Also could you please point out where the IR receiver is :)

Thanks!

Martin

iR receiver assembly is a top small shielded plate. It soldered in to bottom plate with 3 pins (on first photo P1, near electrolytic capacitor on right).

For desolder it you need first desolder metal cover from it.

Best,

This morning it worked again, have not done anything with it compared to yesterday evening when it did not work...

Cannot think of anything except that it might be the sunlight or temperature (it's placed in a window). I'll leave it as it is for now and hope that it will stay this way...

This is really starting to bug me...

I'm suffering exactly the symthoms you described. The LC2 responds to the remote from time to time.

Did you finally solve this issue?

Hi,

I have a same problem. Do you have any solution on this LC2 "working-not working" problem? I get crazy on this...

Thanks, Korte
