Hi All,

I have just purchased an Avant 55 Television and I adore it.  The goal is to replace all my equipment with B&O (I'm looking at you Beolab 18's!), but in the meantime, I have a Sonos Playbar that is just sitting there, so I thought I would try and connect it up to the Avant instead of it going to waste.

So I was just wondering if it would be possible to connect the Avant 55 wirelessly to a Beloab receiver 1 (http://www.beoshop.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=189), and use this cable (RJ45 to RCA, http://www.soundsheavenly.co.uk/bando-rj45rca.htm) to a Sonos Connect?

Unless there is a better way?

Thanks

Michael

I doubt it's worth the trouble. The Avant should blow the Sonos out of the water in terms of sound quality.

The main problem (apart that the sound from the Avant is way better than the play bar) is that there will be a huge audio delay, sound will never be synchronized to picture because of the time taken by the ADC converter of the Sonos to convert the input.

It may be better to use the sound bar in another room and connect a wireless receiver to that using the correct cable

Then set a speaker group to music or whatever and use the playbar that way

Otherwise you could use it with another TV you have or gift it on to a family member :-)
