I could use some input on the non playing of disks on a Beogram 3300 cd player

Sounds very similar to the symptoms seen on the CDX/CDX2 where broken solder joints are the problem.
Assuming you've tried cleaqning the laser lens?

My CD3300 had the same issue. It was a capacitor on the servo board, and one bad solder joint.
