HI All,

Now that I have an almost complete beosystem 4500 (beomaster, beogram, beogram CD + red-line 60.2, beolink 1000 + 7-pin extension cords from Steve) there is one annoying issue when listening to vinyl records: the volume is significantly lower than with other sources (be it tuner, CD or other sources on AUX). When switching to phono, I have to increase the volume by 15 or 20 units !

The beogram 4500 has an MMC4 refitted from AXEL in Germany and the sound is ok. Is there a way to increase the output level of the beogram (or is there a well-known internal component that is likely to be weakening the level)?

Alternatively, is there a way to 'simply' deactivate the in-built preamp in order to use an external one (I have one with adjustable output level)

Thanks for your advice

Thierry
