Hi I have a beosound 5 encore and a beosound 3200

what device should I get to connect the two system to one pair of beolab 3 with only one on at a time?
I guess a 1 female 8 pin to 2 male 8 pin cable ?

will this harm any device if I only open one ( 5 or 3200) at same time?
Thanks

Any one knows whether I can achieve this without using the almando switch which is so expensive?

thanks

Can you connect the Encore to the aux in on the BS?

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

You can use the Aux connection.

But you will have to deal eith two volume controls.

Since the Aux-in of BS3200 will expect a signal at line-level volume, you will have to turn the Encore up to a fitting volume.

Best do all volume control afterwards with the 3200/the Beo4 on the 3200.

Tip: best set the Encore to Option 0 or Option 4 - so that it won't react directly to the commands of the Beo4.

The Almondo is merely a switch.

But it is an intelligent one - and imo worth the price, if you really need and use it.

Look for Almando Powerlink Switch. Get some knowledge about link options as well. Too tired to think about details...

Best regards

Ralf

So if encore is connected as AUX

if can be viewed as a outerner music source for the beosound?

The music is stored in the encore and played by beosound, right?

thank you for answering!
