Hello.
I have recently purchased a working Beomaster 900 from eBay as I liked the look of it. The guy I bought it from did house clearing and this came up so I put a cheeky offer in and he accepted it.
The radio is sitting proudly on my dining room and I use it most evening in front of the fire ;-)
I have noticed recently the light bulb behind the display has failed so I would like to open it up and replace but I'm not 100% sure how to open the radio? There are 4 screws on the base which I removed but I couldn't workout how the chassis came out of the wood case. So I decide to leave for now and do a little research on the web....
Any suggestions on the recommend approach?
Thank you in advance.
Hi, and welcome to Beoworld (first) and to the BM900 owners club
Once you removed the four screw, remove the four front knobs (the are fixed by tiny screw) and then pull the black rear panel out. Everything will come with it.
Be just careful with the wires...
The 3 light bulbs are 7v if I remember well. Dillen can certainly sell you a set.
The service manual is on site for silver and gold members.

The MPX lamp is 18V.I can supply correct lamps.
There are two versions of Beomaster 900, the early version with flat grey front and the later darker version withoffset front (as CB is showing).Only the later one needs the knobs removed.

Thank you for the warm welcome!
I'll try and sit down this afternoon and open the case. I found this mention of bulbs earlier:

Mine doesn't have the integrated speakers, instead it looks like this:
The knobs on the front do have a small screw hole in them so that must be how I remove them to let the chassis slide out the back.
