I have recently moved and simultaneously changed routers to an "all in one" box offered by the Altice, the company that took over Cablevision. I use a (very) old iPad in a BeoPlay A3 and that works fine, however when I try and use my BeoLab 8000s connected to the Playmaker, I get about :60 seconds and then the whole thing shuts down.
As I can't think of anything else to try, I want to assign a fixed IP Address to the Playmaker, but have no idea how to do so.
Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi,
first you need the Playmaker's MAC address:
Open B&O app =》Configure Playmaker =》 Info =》 Status =》 there it is.
Sign in to your router's interface.
Next steps are somewhat more complicated, so I recommend watching the following tutorial (for all O Systems and routers) making it easier:

Once you have done it the first time, you will find it's easy.

Ulrike, Thank you. For any others with same/similar problems note that, in the end, I discovered that my particular router offers a choice of several different channels. By switching channels to one less susceptible to interference, I solved the problem without resorting to designating a fixed IP address.
Really good!
