Hi!

I am looking for the best way to check that the turntables i restore is working properly.

I would like to check that the pickup can play all the right frequencies and i would like to setup the antiskate and other things as correct as possible.

What is the best way to do this?

Kind Regards,

Christian Leicht

A good pickup cartridge
A tracking force gauge
A fresh test record with frequency sweeps, test tones and tracking test tracks etc.
A distortion meter
A wow/flutter meter
A frequency counter (some scopes have this but the cheaper ones are not adequate).
A frequency analyzer would also be nice
For tangential decks Beolovers RPM Device
Finally, good amplifier and speakers and a fresh copy of a record you have heard hundreds of times before.
