Hi!I am looking for the best way to check that the turntables i restore is working properly.
I would like to check that the pickup can play all the right frequencies and i would like to setup the antiskate and other things as correct as possible.
What is the best way to do this?
Kind Regards,
Christian Leicht

A good pickup cartridgeA tracking force gaugeA fresh test record with frequency sweeps, test tones and tracking test tracks etc.A distortion meterA wow/flutter meterA frequency counter (some scopes have this but the cheaper ones are not adequate).A frequency analyzer would also be niceFor tangential decks Beolovers RPM DeviceFinally, good amplifier and speakers and a fresh copy of a record you have heard hundreds of times before.Martin
