Hello!

I must first acknowledge my lack of experience in the electronics realm.

I was recently gifted a pair of BeoLab 3 speakers. I am looking for a receiver to connect them to both my turntable and television. Are there specifications I should be looking for? Or perhaps a better way to go about it? My turntable does have a built-in preamp, and the cables I have for the speakers are 9pin-DIN/Powerlink to RCA.

Thanks so much,

Simon

Hello!

Beolab 3 can be set up to either receive a line in signal from e.g a receiver (where you adjust the volume on the receiver), or a signal from e.g a Beocenter where you utilize the amplifier that is built into the Beolab 3..

Look here for the setup:  https://www.bang-olufsen.com/.../BeoLab-3/EN_BeoLab_3.pdf

Steve and Sounds Heavenly (advertizing on this page) can guide you to the cables you need.

To connect to a TV its the same as above. There you need to feed the Beloab 3s from a volume regulated line out socket on the TV (like headphone jack) and have the Beolab 3s set to "Line".
