As far as I remember the only wat to disassemble is destructively! You may be able to break the glued seam around the edge if you are very careful with a craft knife. Then simply glue it back together.
The way to open this handset is "mechanically" if you are careful and have a bench vice wrap the handset in a microfibre cloth or similar then place the handset in vice speaker / ear set facing up and along the split line . you can apply gentle pressure and you will hear cracking as you go. personally i would use a non metallic scraper to help prize/open the split line so as to not damage the surface finish. use a TUBE of polystyrene model glue applied to the female portion of the handset the ideal is get a controlled separation not a dig in and hope without the assistance of elastoplast plasters!

Why do you think the problem is in the handset?Did you check the electronics in the main unit?
