Sorry to everyone who saw it and is now wondering where it is. I took the decision to delete the thread as it had clearly been leaked by someone, to someone - and so on.. or a big mistake has been made by someone working alongside B&O who had accidentally put a video on a social platform it seems (reading from the original post, but it's now been deleted)...

All it takes is a manufacturer in say, China (or any other country!) to see these and immediately start making copies and the whole product launch is down the toilet.  We're talking about people's jobs here. Real people, with mortgages and bills to pay. When real people can be affected, I think it's time to be reasonable and step in.

Being completely honest, B&O have historically never been great at keeping new products a secret. Maybe a serious review of this is needed...  However, it's not my company and it's none of my business.

Once again, apologies. I know 'freedom of speech' is important - but this thread could potentially ruin the hard work of a lot of people. As decent folk, we don't want that.

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee, I'm the one who post the thread, and of course I totally understand what you're talking about, honestly I posted it really innocently as I saw some leaks before, but the more I thought about it the more revealing the video looks in retrospective, I check the Vimeo profile who upload the video and they delete it already, apparently that's the channel of a company that makes marketing campaigns and certainly have more leaks on B&O stuff like some headphones and A9 speakers campaign with space related designs for example. I'm sorry as I told I've not be seen the hole situation that way at first. I just found the video randomly on Vimeo searching for an interview with some derigners that work for a Beoplay campaign called portraits as that get ereased from YouTube with the entire Beoplay channel.

As a conclusion I manifest my  passion for the B&O work of design and engineering and as that thread I've started potentially affects people and the company, I never wanted to do that cuz their work inspired me a lot and made possible this community.

Thanks

Omar

Thank you for your understanding Omar. I did also send you a personal email - I'm not sure if you got it?

It would indeed appear from what you say that an external company is at fault here. I would assume someone is in pretty deep trouble this morning... not a great start to his/her week I would imagine.

Yes I received the mail but on the spam folder, I've just checked that, thanks for message and for letting me know better the situation, again I  completely understand.

And yey pretty bad start of the week for those who run that Vimeo channel and not be carful enough. Anyways I still glad to saw those glimpses of new stuff, and now we should let the people just speculate about it, for me personally I'm gonna buy some B&O soon Lets have a Party !!!

Me too! Perhaps we need an invite-only area? Big Smile

I understand deleting the details, but can't we keep/discuss a vague text-only discussion of what's potentially coming? If anything, it keeps us all keen and interested, without leaking the finer details (visuals).

Hallo Moxxey,

Not much details that Roger have not spilled yet. But the video actually showed some of these products.

But the new stuff is looking great, so a good year I think. Also the video was just filming the generel vibe at the meeting/show, Imagine walking around CES. So no details.

Roger have teased a Remote for the Beosound Core.

I think that was what we also saw in the video.

So my best answer is yes but no.

But properly the only "Audio System" you will get.

It looked very nice, and very exclusive, nothing like the Essense remote.

Interesting. I wonder where and why it was filmed. If they have working prototypes, can't be too far off then - September/Q3?

Probably a press launch in September with initial release November and in typical B&O style the actual product will be released after the Xmass holidays, missing all the xmass shopping... Wink

The Sound bar did not look like a prototype at all, Only if there is some e-ARC problem or so. If not, it looked ready to be released now.

The video also showed not working prototypes, not sure if these will ever see the light of day? So yea Roger had not mentioned them, but looked like Beoplay standalone speakers, not something speciel.

The new remote, seemed a bit more far off. I dont really know but that was the vibe I got.

If I remember right, Roger mentioned something about it being delayed from this spring.

So if they have it where they want by now, it could be soon released.

(But, only guessing).

Question is - for whom is it?

We need a lot more details - that it is pretty is not enough 🧐

Everyone start digging at their dealership - someone will know.

Snarky comments such as "How coincidence is that you post really bad news about your company, right as you are about to release a flagship product then, out of the blue, someone accidentally releases a secret video for a few minutes."? Don't do it Jeff!

I haven't see the video but I saw the pictures in the original thread:

To me it did look likes more like a design study or a contest from a skilled lover of the brand or an independent studio.

The references to very old products, like the the sound bar looking like an old horizontal Beovox with wooden cabinet and dotted front cloth.
Even the aluminium version of it does look actual nor will fit any recent B&O product.

The version of the M5 (which is a regular M5 standing on a same diameter circular base) doesn't make sense to me. It's ugly and even if it were for a massive woofer I want see B&O recycling old products like that.

Finally the remote may trigger the same feeling that when the BEO5 was first presented, and I feel the legacy: strange shape, Aluminium, new way of holding it, etc… But I also believe its not an object from our times. I mean, if anybody would question the basis of the remotes we're using for ages, I dont think it would be with that massive object.

And in general, details which are not Bang & Olufsen: too much keys, icons…

I believe this forum has already seen some of those design studies provided by very talented graphic artists, I saw one about beoplay product and maybe a Beosound; To me it's the same story here.

Just read a post about the B&O UK dealer's meeting yesterday and this was said by a UK B&O dealer:

"I witnessed the movement and sound from the new BeoVision Harmony 77” OLED television and many more exciting and awesome products on the roadmap, all I can say is you’re in for a real treat this year! Well done to everyone behind the scenes at B&O!"

So, looks like there's a few products in the pipeline and dealer's have seen them.

Does anyone know the category of products - more TVs and speakers presumably as that’s all they make now?

I know, that's what I thought when I heard it this week.

On another subject,  I got an email that the B&O Marylebone High Street (London) is closing.

The franchise that owns it is folding it into the existing Selfridges concession.

No great surprise in the end.

I was researching the A9 and stumbled on this offering (A9 with Google home)  from a Dutch dealer: https://morelisse.nl/product/beoplay-a9/

I assumed it was not real / it was using Google home / assistant with a separate home (mini) and then chromecasted to the A9

But could be "real"  after all.

So it’s basically 3 products of which one is not new but a revision of an existing product.

How will a remote with a screen fit in with the Beoremote 1 or an iPad with a screen and a volume control on the iPad. Is this not duplication I wonder?

I was visualising something like the essence remote but with a screen to show the artwork for the song playing on, say, Deezer or the radio station logo.
