Im just guessing here, but when tonearm is closing in on centre of record, it seems like the platter is slightly touching the tomearm mechanism, (below platter), can the height of the platter be adjusted? i only se a "spring" plate where the player mechanism is hanging from, and the mounting screws for the spring plate. and i can only loosen them witch means the platter will go lower not higher., if you understand what im talking about.
If you cannot adjust it up (screws down) enough to reach a useable height as shown in the manual, somethingmust be wrong and you will have to look inside.

Beside what is stated in the manual and also widely related in these forums, I can see a lot a pictures where the platter at the very same level than the table. Can't really see how it can work but I've seen it quite often on BG5500 and alike and also on BG12XX, I find it beautiful.
Is there a reason for that?
Thank you in advance.
i dont have a manual.. can i find it here somewhere? i think im looking at the correct screws but oím not shure;-)
