BV 10 - soap opera image

Hi! 

My bv 10-46 just arrived and the "soap opera" effect I was afraid off is there.

Some of you mentioned about "movie mode" which should be off but I cannot find it in settings.

Can you please help me?

Hi,

Try pressing MENU on the remote, place the cursor on OPTIONS and press RED and then GO (within 3 seconds after you pressed RED). You should now be in the "Customer service menu". Go into "Adjustments" and you will find "Film mode". Be careful with the Servce menu – don't touch anything unnecessary!

If you have the new Beo4 with joystick just press the joystick instead of "GO".

please tell me if there is a difference. I`m asking, because on Friday I`ll pick up my new BV10-46. I thought the problem was elimined?

I saw 2 movies....one was with soap opera image , the other not.

Don't know what to say...the one with soap opera was 1080p.

I'll check the other.

Maybe HD has this effect.

I went in service menu and turned off movie mode ( in picture adjustments). Now the "soap opera" effect went away.

Hi Liviu_u,

I never heard from a "soap opera" effect and I can't see any difference if I put the movie mode off at my BV 10-40.

Can you describe "soap opera" effect?

Firstly I want to thanks Magnus for his advice!!!!

Rauber......I tried to explain it: image like in south american telenovelas,  like the movie is a documentary....filmed by a friend with a hd camera.....etc
