Oh boy, must mean new colors!
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Jeff: Oh boy, must mean new colors!
*colours.
Heathen.

Sure would be nice if you Brits would learn how to spell English properly!
Perhaps it's a B&O app 2.71?
Dear Lee and Jeff,
In order to stop this senseless and hurtful bickering, I would suggest that you both please spend some time listening to (or reading the transcripts of) the following two podcasts:
https://www.theallusionist.org/transcripts/across-the-pond
and
https://www.theallusionist.org/transcripts/new-rules
After you do, you'll find that you're merely victims here - slaves of the ubiquitous rules enforced by the programmers of the Spell Check algorithms embedded into WordPerfect and Microsoft Word in days of yore...
As someone once said to me - "Bald men need not fight over who gets the comb..." but he might have been talking about something else, come to think of it... ;-)

KMA
B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
KMA:I hope so. Canvas Audio is stealing a bit of its thunder, probably not by coincidence.
Perhaps the B&O soundbar has a dedicated center (in the the B&O language centre?) speaker, that would be one way of getting back in "front" of the Canvas.

Well, the irony is that most Brits are actually ignorent of the fact WE changed the language since the middle ages where a lot of American's still speak with the formatting and twang we had in the 1600's.
For example, not many people know that the NY accent originates from how Brits would speak English in the middle ages. It's remained, we moved on. So in a way, you could argue that American's actually kept our own language sacricant
On top, words such as 'Fall' were used far more widely a few hundred years ago in Britain and the way medicene is pronounced 'medcine' over there is more like we used to say the word - so are we or they really in the wrong?
They've already announced the new AW colors/colours in Copenhagen. A pink and a purple.
I'm old enough to remember when Bill Gates/Microsoft decided there would only be one space after a period!
And I'm from the South, New Yawkers talk funny.
Great links Geoff!

Robin:I have thought of this as well. You could possibly consider the beosound 35 as a sound bar... but probably not in this classical way. And moreover I couldn’t imagine something else, maybe a projector, as they are moving away from the tv market 🤷♂️ soon we will see ;-)
There's no real money to be made from a projector.. And an even more limited market..
So.. Some kind of soundbar-ish device.
Karel.

I agree with you about projector's having a limited market. Since buying a 75" 4K TV, I find that I never use my projector anymore. While the larger size of a projector screen is nice, the quality of an actual tv is so brilliant and now large TV screens are the norm.
Do we have a deep throat on the forum to reveal some details (pricing, connections)?
"... never been in our product portfolio."?
A soundbar could still be technically considered a loudspeaker. And once you start talking about Atmos capabilities, then it's becomes surround sound. Just to play Devil's Advocate, these wouldn't qualify under that slogan.
I will take a stab though... given the way the screenshot is presented, maybe it's a lighting system. Light control, yes, was part of the portfolio in the past, but they weren't controlling lights made by B&O - so maybe that's what we're looking at here.
*just a bit of fun

I know…B&O virus has grown on me !
Fansastic:Today my dealer told me different new multiroom speakers are coming, including soundbar. The remote-ish app tabled (or whatever name you can think for it) is being postponed to next year due to priorities on other products, but is still expected. I’m guessing we can expect speakers in and under the BS1 range as the M5 is too ordinary designed and not typical B&O (as the M3 imo). Shifting to more designed multiroom speakers sounds logical for me. We shall see

Please for the love of.... no more bizarro world mono speakers
One version now only.
Something more fully fledged supposed to be in the works, but dont hold your breath.
B&O could market Canvas, add 40%, and be be unique.
High-cost, late to market, sketchy tech, style brand for soundbars might be a tough sell in today's world.
vlohjr1:Did your dealer say only one soundbar expected or different versions?
The product’s name is already on the internet (and even at some places at B&O’s site as well).
They filed the product for wireless certification, including wireless LAN, so I suppose it should have some ‘smart’ functionality.

Haven't been able to find anything... Not even in the FCC database :-( And also seems that they cleaned up website too :-(
If ‘something’ is going to happen on Sept 2nd, it must happen pretty soon...

You mean the category ‘Beosound Stage’?
Yep, that’s the products name and indeed the much discussed new category.

Interesting!!!
Also I did notice that the origin is Czech Republic (China) - which probably means that some parts are from China, but it is assempled in the Czeck Rep - or?
