Last week i did a complete bargain on a wallmounted BeoVision 4-50. But i don't want to mount it on a wall. I have an old B&O F1000 furniture i want to put it on.

And here is my question..

Do anybody here on BeoWorld have a used Table Stand for the BeoVision 4? The two dealers in my town couldn't sell me one. So i should either find a used one, or make one myself.

As i'm living in Denmark, and they are extremely hard to find here, i've prepared myself to make one on my own.

If anybody here have made their own Table Stand for a BeoVision 4, i would be very pleased to see it!

BTW is there a smart solution to upload pictures from an iPad, to the thread?

The BV4-50 comes in at a whopping 50kg!

Which made me think,- Why not take the base from an old Avant. The center of gravity should be about the same, and the MDF chassis is not only rock solid, but also very easy to modify! The motor assembly is no more than 2 inches high, and would look great as a tabel stand!

I have made several stands from recyled Beovison parts, AV9000 , BV7-32 and the Avant

If you need parts let me know :-)

Try to find out what Panasonic pedestal will fit.

It is a Panasonic Professional display under the B&O frame....

Did so with my Beovision 4-42 (bought a defect Panasonic display with base just to get the stand Big Smile).

I scrapped a 4-50, it was only the silver frame around the tv and a back frame around the edge too..  The whole back of the TV is how the Panasonic would appear.

After some searching i found out that the Plasma panel in my BV4 is a D9, how do i find out which Panasonic displays used the D9 panel? Smile

I'm thinking about doing that as you suggested. I love the flat disc of the floor stand, so that could very well be the solution if it's going to be a DIY project.

You can install a (second) DVI board as well to have a second HD input (did this with my Beovision 4-42)....

Thank you Ralf! That was extremely helpful. After a bit of searching i found out that the stands were quite expensive, and i'm getting closer to making a stand myself.

DONE!..Cool

After a small email conversation with BeoVox141, I was ready to make my own table stand and decided to use the stand of an old crt avant.

I found an AV5 2 kilometers from my apartment which I picked up for about 15€. So I took it to my dads garage and started to disassemble it until I had the bare aluminum skeleton. I'm not proud of it, but the rest ended as garbage...Unsure

When I had the bare skeleton I bolted the wall bracket of the BV4-50 to the skeleton, and cut of approximately 10cm of the top.

And voila.. Lets have a Party !!!

I will make a post in the Flash your B&O thread in a couple of days..

And btw. Thanks for your help! Especially BeoVox141

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I'm also looking to do this - would you do anything differently - I have a Beolab 10 that I want to use too, but maybe the speaker assembly could be retained?

Hi Beovox141,

can you please give me some tips on making a stand from EITHER a BC AV5 or an Avant 32 DVD, both of which I have 'done deals' for and have available. I'd like to retain the wiring to run a sub, powered either by the remaining electrics, or adding a line out to a BL 150 which I have spare. Can you suggest anything? Also, maybe retain the swivel functionality, if possible? Cheers.

Absolutely brilliant! What a great job. Looks fantastic.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
