I've made a new purchase, quite excited really.....  but I need to sell my old TV complete, which means the BS 3 has to go with it, and be replaced by the new BS3 that comes with the new TV.

Is there a chip or something with all settings that I could easily swap ???

Anyway... B&O can't come and do the install for an entire month. So I was thinking I could do some bits myself. I'm impatient.

Here is a pic of the old one, and the new one, which is in a box the size of a crate.

I guess it's either not possible.... or no one knows?

Hi Luke, it is not possible I am afraid - just take a photo of the relevant menus (connections, sound, cinema timings if relevant) or - if the new BeoSystem is the same type and spec as the old one, you could perhaps keep your old one and sell the new one?

The very latest version of BeoSystem 3 would be 3D capable (though I suspect unless your new BV4 is 85" or above then the plasma panel will not be) and would have DVB-T2 to allow you to receive HD Freeview in the UK. What is the TV you have bought?

The new one is only the 65" So it's pretty much identical.

I would leave the BS3 but it will get too confusing with the warranty....  as they'll both end at different times.

Anyway... bummer. Was worth a try. Thanks for your help.Big Smile

Hi lukeswiss,

Please do not forget to make a list of all PUCs you have installed on your old BS, only B&O can install them on the new BS3.

Addistionally add PUCs you probably will/may need in future. So this can be done at the same time.

A B&O technician can take a backup of your current BS3 and restore it on the new one. But i guess that doesn't help much if you have to wait a month for the dealer to show up

Thanks mate ! It caught on fire from some candles once, not sure if you can see the massive burn marks.

So, after the advice I've just decided to wait until B&O come. At least I know it'll be done right.

I can't believe they're booked out for a month, I guess the Global financial crisis hasn't hit Switzerland yet.....
