The 7-40 MK4 is the only 7 series I would look at this time. Or the 7-55 versions as they are still spectacular and keep up with the new series. The ZT60 is a great picture as well, especially if you plan on driving it with a BeoSystem. But as Martin says, there is more to it then just PQ..... Design, Movements, Sound, Integration, etc, etc.........
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
I have the previous year VT50 in a 65 inch size. While I haven't seen the Beocision you mention in quite a while, I never cease to be amazed and impressed by my Panasonics picture quality. It's the first set I've ever owned where I have felt no need to modify the factory picture settings. The THX Cinema and THX Bright Room settings are about as perfect as it gets. I imagine the ZT panel is even better.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
In terms of PQ, the major advantage of the Panasonic ZT60 is that it's calibration controls allow a full ISF calibration.
This review makes very interesting reading---awarded Reference Level.

It should be borne in mind that Panasonic has announced that it will cease manufacturing Plasma TVs on the 31 March 2014.
If one wants a ZT60 one should act sooner rather than later.
