Beo 4 remote problem

My beo 4 remote has developed a screen problem it only displays the top half of any displayed text does it need a new screen?

Yes new screen required. Dead easy fix yourself job!

Hi

The LCD is easy enough to replace and shouldn't cost a fortune. When we change them at Wilmslow we give the whole remote a thorough valet and they come up looking as good as new.

This was a new unused second remote I had never been used before not sure what’s happened to it.

Then its most likely NOT the display but the conductive "rubber.

Sometimes cleaning the rubber with Isopropylic alcohol can fix it, or simply removing the display an putting it back in.

In the year 2000 Ericsson almost lost its cellphone business to the unreliable "zebra strips",- you are not alone!
