DVD 2 region free

Hi there.

I got two DVD 2's, one of which I managed to make region free using a code I punched in on my Beo4. This was years ago and worked like a charm. No I got another one, and I searched on here to find a way for making that one region free too. Found something about it in the forum on here, but I can't get it to work. Any has the RIGHT code to use?

The service manual has a procedure for changing the region, rather than making it region free.  As follows:

But this thread states that entering code 255 will make it region free.

Ok.

Thanks, I am just affraid that like with some other Philips dvd's you are only allowed to change the region 10 times or something, and then it's stuck.

There’s no limitation stated in the manual.
