Red Dot Award BeoSound Essence, the revolutionary sound wheel

While browsing the press site I see Bang & Olufsen reached a new award. This time the Red Dot Award for the BeoSound Essence.

Congratulations B&O on winning this prestigious award, I have a fondness for many Red Dot Winners but was surprised that Bomag won an award for a road roller.

I would never be able to explain that purchase

I'd be interested to know what they were entered against and what and why they beat who/what ever.

My understanding of the Reddot awards is that you pay to enter and you then pay more if you win!!

I'd be more than happy to win an award that I hadn't entered, ............... to "win" one that I paid to enter and cost me more when I'd won  ............... ??????????????????
