I have just bought a 5500 system. The left channel is dead. Its not ther mute relay because in the top row left is also dead and also on the headphone output. The large output transistors are hot on the left channel.

Any common isues on caps eg  where I can start to look?

Regards Edwin

You can read a lot about changing caps on this site, but it isn't the solution for every problem.

Yours has also to do with faulty idlecurrents and/or transistors.

Thanks Beobuddy. I tried to find posts about caps on a BM5500 but could not find it
