Hello. I am new to the site. I have a Beosound 9000 which I would like to use as a CD source with a Marantz AV 8801 sound processor, which drives a Rotel amp and B&W 803 speakers. What is the best way to accomplish this connection? Thanks for the help

What about a pliable to RCA?
A dig-coax cable connection would be cheaper and better than some 'analog adapter thing'.

Try both ways - choose the best.
One way of course is to use the RCA SPDIF digital out directly to the digital in of the processor. That will get you the CD output, but not of course the radio or any other source.
The other way is to get a DIN to 4 RCA plug converter/cable and hook not to the PowerLink but to the Aux In jack on the BS9000. It is a traditional tape in and out layout, two fixed level outputs, L and R, and two inputs, L and R. I've used this in my last setup to take aux in from other sources, and give me line outs that I connected to an integrated amp that I used to drive passive speakers throughout my house. Now I use Masterlinked Beolabs around the new house.The amp took standard RCA inputs so I used a DIN to RCA converter cable.

But the in the op the question was "I would like to use as a CD source" - that is why I went for the dig-out.
Thank you much. I don't need the other sources in the Beosound 9000 so I like the digital output idea. I am not familar with the cable you suggest. Would you plese describe that cable in more detail and possibly suggest a source to purchase it. Thanks.
