Hello All
I have just acquired a Beovision 5. After I switched it on it asked me for a PIN which I stupidly tried to guess (1234, 1111, 0000, etc). I now have what I believe to be the correct code which I got by giving my serial number from the back of the set to my local dealer (Bournemouth, UK).
When I now switch the Beovision on (by pressing TV on the remote) all I get on the screen is 'WAIT' at the top of the screen. No mater what I press on the remote it just says 'WAIT'. If I leave it for more than a minute or so the set switches itself of.
I have unplugged it from the mains and left it for well over 3 hours (as per the instruction manual) and I still get the same issue. I just can't get back to a point where I can input the PIN. I can't find anything in the manual regarding the 'WAIT' message. I would leave it on for a few hours but, as I said, it switches itself off.
Has anyone come across this issue and does anyone have the answer? Thanks in advance for your help.
The television has to be connected to power and left for 3 hours before it will request a PIN code. If a button is pressed it will restart the count for another 3 hours.
This does not work if the television is disconnected from the mains.
Just leave it plugged in overnight and you will be ok in the morning.
Thanks. I'll leave it on over night and have a look in the morning.
