I have a Beocoder VX5000, and I want to us it to convert VHS-tapes to some modern format that can be played in, smartphones and computers.
I have a capture card in the computer, that can work with component and RGB signal.
Does the SCART send on the RGB posisions, or just composite video.

Unfortunately only composite (not even S-video).

Shure?
Found this in the service manual
Oh yes, VX5000. Contrary to most VCRs, I believe it actually does have RGB outputs (byproduct of the advanced digital processing in it). You probably still need the composite output as well for sync signals. Go ahead and try!
The RGB output is for the color menu only, but but but,
The CVBS and RGB signal is transmitted and at the same time.
And the Beovision automatic selected the CVBS signal, On newer videocard one some time can select input mode. IE CVBS or RGB
RGB is better than S-VHS. If you have that option try first RGB if that does not work try CVBS. This Will Work.
Pls be born in mind that the VX 5000 had som special digital features e.g PIP, Still pictures and channel shift pictures.
