Hi all,

I have two Beolab 6000 that I have connected through an airport express directly to the audio jack. On speaker side I use the convenient RCA connectors. Ever since moving them around recently one of the speakers seems to have a short on that connection and only makes a loud humming voice when connected through the RCA. I don't have a BeoSound to connect it to anymore and cannot check if this is also the case when using those connectors.

My question: What do you recommend? Have you encountered this problem? If yes, what did you do? I'm wondering if it is worth having that repaired and how much that might run.

Thank you for your help.

Connect the cable from the "good" speaker to the bad sounding one, if the speaker sounds OK with the other cable, the speaker is OK, connect the same cable to the source where the "bad" speaker was connected, if the loud humming is there again, your source is bad.
