MPAV 9000 - Ouverture

Will MPAV 9000 act same as Ouverture stand alone?

As you no doubt know, it was designed to operate with the AV9000 television.  The quick and easy answer is no, it won't act like the Ouverture as a stand alone unit and has to be connected to the AV9000 TV.  The MPAV 9000 does not have any Powerlink sockets nor ordinary speaker outlets and just relies on the masterlink type connection to the AV9000 TV for sound output.  This connection is not the same as the normal Masterlink either!

However, I do seem to recall someone making an internal modification to one (probably by installing Ouverture parts) to make it operate but it would be an expensive option.

Hi I know it can be done as I have that I have that unit and it's still working I Adli modified one for a customer when I work for Bango, the biggest problem now is cost, back then it was different but now for the cost you can pick up a 2nd hand overture or beosound 3000 for between £250 and for £400 so personally not worth it anymore
