I have been looking for some album covers that I like the look of to put on my wall. Now I am not going down the Dark side of the Moon and Sargeant Peppers route but just things that I like the look of. some examples I have gone for are Keanes Under the Iron Sea, OMD's Dazzle Ships and Cryptograms, Deerhunter. So does anyone have any nice Album covers in mind I can add to my collage. The music on the record doesnt really matter, its the covers I'm interested in!

What will be the size of a single cover on your wall? How will the wall look like? Are you thinking about a collage like a bigger picture out of many small ones? Are you going to print each cover and than glueing them to the wall?

Some lables like ECM have a nice corporate design ...

Ha, yes the incorrectly spelt Beatles album is an unusual one! No I want 5 or six albums that can be put into a single frame so approx 3 foot square.

I vote for the Hermit (Gatefold cover in Led Leppelin IV).

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

Nice choice Soren

When I was young and had no taste (as opposed to now, when I am old and have not taste) this was one of my favourite album covers

(I think I was "sixteen going on seventeen" as the time, and because of Government censorship my LP had a a black bikini printed over the top of the picture!)

((I also particularly liked the cover song))

Elephant:  you would like my Roger Waters "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" cover.

I did this exact project before I got married:  2 rows of 3 album covers in a 36" x 24" "poster frame."  I used:

Sex Pistols "Never Mind the Bollocks Here's the Sex Pistols"

Rolling Stones "Black and Blue"

The Clash "London Calling"

U2 "War"

J. Geils Band "Love Stinks"

Public Image Limited "Album"

The Beatles "Revolver," Pink Floyd's "Animals" and "Wish You Were Here," Rolling Stones "Tattoo You," "Undercover," "Some Girls," "Let It Bleed," Cream's "Disraeli Gears," the list could be endless.

Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland

(but I suppose there was another, quite bland version for the more innocent markets.)

Puncher:  good one.  I don't have that one, but I do have the Jerry Hall as mermaid "Siren."  That's a good cover, too, with very low WAF.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer: Brain Salad Surgery. Album cover by H.R.Giger, and decidedly odd.

Return to Forever: Romantic Warrior, also a great cover.

Jeff

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad
