Hi;

I have many musicalbums with various artists. For each number i have a coverart embedded in all this numbers on my nasdisk.

So, when i'm playing this music on my PC with a musicplayer like vlc or mediaplayer i can see this coverart for all these numbers, so each number has his own cover...nice to see!

But...on my BS5E this doesn't work, i have tryed everything, it seems that the bs5 takes 1 cover from the album and shows that for all the numbers from that album. So this is not good because now the wrong pictures are shown during play of that number.

I have deleted all folder.jpg and other albumart ( small and large ) from my musicmaps, so these maps only contain the musicfiles ( mp3 ) ..with embedded picture. I have tryed deleting the album's name and so on....nothing helps.the BS5 is still loading a picture from a file in the map( seems to be the first one in the map).

How can i do this? So, a coverart for each number ( and offcource i would like to be able to choose this music by artist...by number ...by album .

Greetings...Dirk

I can't see why you shouldn't be able to do that with the BM/BS5?

Have you tried rebuilding the library in the settings of the BM/BS5 - sometimes old settings are stored untill you rebuilt the index (rebuilt music server).

How you can search depends on the tagging of the files.

Hi, Thanks for the quick answer

I have even restarted from factory settings, still the same.

And the strange thing about this is that everything works fine on my pc.

I have even tryed to place 2 of those musicmaps on a USB, and then this usb on the BS5 does the same...wrong covers..allways One for hole the musicmap.

Oh sorry, I now see that you referred to the BS5Encore - and I was talking BM/BS5 Embarrassed

Please tell me/us which server you use to connect your BS5E to?

Which program did you use to tag your files?

Hi;

I use mp3tag for tagging.

Then..the server. I'm using a Medion Nas server, It's a twonky compatible nas ( In the specs they say it's twonky compatible , but i don't use twonky )

I don't know if it's possible to run twonky on that nas or how to do that. I could run twonky server on my Pc but this is not an option because then i have to leave this pc running all the time and like i said, all my music is on my nas

All the files are located in this nas in the Family library...family music.  When i'm using my pc to play music all the music is comming from this nas-location, and like i allready told ..there it works fine. Allso when i connect my tablet pc to that NAS..everything works fine on that tablet and i have the correct pictures for each number.

I know that the BS5E works fine with apple and  twonky, but ..i don't have a apple and have to do it with this setup using windows 8.

I'l try to explain whats going on. So..if i look into the NAS using mp3tag i can see all the musicfiles in it. Each number has all the details. like the title, artist, albumartist, and album, each files has his own picture ( 500 x 500 ) embedded into the file. This works fine on the pc, everything works like it should, I give you a example.

I have a number "crying in the chapel " from elvis wich is located on a album " rock and roll best "...i have the title, the artist is Elvis and  the albumartist is allso elvis...the album is " rock and roll best "....so on my pc it works fine like it should. But if i play it on my BS5E i got a different cover from another title from that album " rock and roll best " ( mostlikely the cover of the first number from that album )

If i delete that cover from that other (first number) then i get the cover of the second number .

Like i told you there are only covers embedded in the files, there are no loose pictures on the NAS or other ( even hidden ) files..only the mp3's

What is happening here? I tryed everything, what i am doing wrong?

Greetings..Dirk

I have made another try and it's getting even more complicated.

I have 1 album on a usb disk..each number has his own picture.

When i play this usb stick on BS5E the cover of the first number is showing for all the numbers.

Then i deleted that number wich gives that cover. Then i get another cover for all the numbers,if a repeat this..allways the same...i still get One picture for all of them.

If i'm scrolling the numbers they all have the same (wrong) coverart.

So i can conclude that my problem isn't with my Nas because i have the same problems with usb stick.

Who knows what's going on here?

( I allready had some grey hairs...now i'm getting white )

greetz...dirk

Pne of your other meta tag fields has inconsistent data. The standard album sort on the BM 5 is based on the artist tag. Check there
