Hello All
It's been a fair while since I've posted.
Can anyone tell me if it's safe to transport a BV10-40 in original packing on its side or does it have to be upright? for a trip down the motorway?
I've searched the forum and can only find and article relating to plasmas which I was already aware of
Thanks in advance
Gary
Tell you that I moved house recently.......
Wrap the TV in the flat thin foam sheet that comes with it.
Then this: http://www.homemovingboxes.co.uk/ProdInfo.aspx?Stock-Code=FE60-80 2.5 lengths can be cut to frame the TV
Then bubble wrap, then finally flat packing boxes binding all the above.
Transport vertically.
Worked for me.

Why so complicated?
A couple of thick blankets would do it - just lay it flat...and drive carefull.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
It's only plasma TVs that 'used to' need to be transported vertically, not LCDs, and that was some years ago now. Although still recommended to transport a plasma upright it will still be fine if you leave it for a few hours in the upright position before turning on. The BV10 is LCD so you have no concerns.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
Didn't have any blankets.
Plenty of bubble wrap though
Had the same question two years ago and asked my B&O store which said it was no issues at all to transport it flat and so I did. Short 40 min ride on the highway to new location.
