i have a beolink 7000 remote that will not charge, and also i cannot get all of the controls to show up. i read that they are supposed to show up if you tap the metal plate, but nothing happens. i assume the batteries need to be replaced, but i have no idea how to open the thing up.
Maybe this can help?

Or this?
thank you that should help with replacing the batteries, but i still have no idea what to do about the metal plate not working
Maybe the Piezo sensor which is placed on the back of the panel has a defect. Pieze sensor cost a few penny.
Hello:
I have a beolink 7000 that is not recharging. I put in a brand new NICAD battery pack. The battery pack will charge externally but not inside the remote.
The remote will function fine while docked on the charger. It loses power as soon as it is removed from the dock.
There was a link to this resource that is no longer available.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Derek
I had the same problem. Open the unit and check the fuse, on mine The fuse was blown which was not allowing the batteries to get charged, once I replaced the fuse it charged and work perfectly.Make sure you replace with the same type of fuse it’s of the solder type.
Hello Abbaz:
Thanks for replying.
Do you know where the fuse is located?
I looked in the service manual but it wasn't clear where it is.
Have you checked the fuse in the power supply/charger?
As I recall from working on my two BL7000, there is no fuse in the BL7000 it self.
Also check the connection between the three pins on the power supply/charger and the BL7000, when the BL7000 is placed in the power supply/charger.
