But the BeoVision Avant site doesn't seem to be online yet?

We need a new thread.

The Beovision Avant is beautiful.  I definitely have to have this and the Beolab 20 as well.

The video on the Bang and Olufsen website is exquisite.

Beolab 20
Frequency Range
· 19.5 Hz to 23.6 kHz
Tweeter · 3/4 "drive unit with Acoustic Lens Technology
Midrange · 5 "speaker unit
Bas · 10 "woofer (double pole)
Amplifiers · Class D amplifiers - 1 x 160 watts for the tweeter, 1 x 160 watts to the midrange and 2 x 160 watts for bass
This is a very important difference! Is a small Beolab 5! All class D amplifiers.
The size of the tweeter, midrange and woofer is the same.
They have lowered the frequency range.
It will be a very interesting speaker.

Bang & Olufsen's official website is also online now. The presentation is great, but my PC suffers! Smile

I am warming to it! The stand options and related performance/ movement including the speaker drop down will be great selling points.

But I really cannot take to that centre grille! Maybe it will look different in the flesh, but it doesn't have a quality look to it at all on these pictures.

Too late. That would make an ultimate mess now. We could of course lock "extra" threads, but which threads? And still we would keep getting new threads as soon as somebody thinks he just found a new picture somewhere...

Happens at every launch. It will die off in a week or two Big Smile

Is anyone on Germancarforums.com ?

They have the perfect layout. You can 'like' or 'disagree' with other people's posts. And every new product get an 'Official' label, so that you can easily access it at any time.

Not sure how easy that would be to set up here.

Does anybody know how much the Beolab 20 will cost? I'm seriously hooked on those mini Beolab 5 specs!

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.

My wife just said "what's the point"

Oh those wonderful positive people... (Irony may be intended)

"What's the point of this - what's the point of that"...
"Tell the people at B&O to stop with those cheap gimmicks...those pointless moving speakers - and those glass doors...OH Nooooo!!!!..." (Oops - they stopped doing that!)  "But don't you dare to do something like that in the future..." Chris and his wife don't like those gimmicks!!!

Maybe this TV is not made for you and your wife... ;-)

Chris and his wife have bought and owned most of the products, and have done so since the early eighties. If you want to bet personal about somebody's option on a television that's fine, email me your number and I'll talk to you in private about it at my expense.

I can do it tomorrow when my new Beocom 2 banana phone arrives. Is that gimmicky enough for you? Your right, it isn't the TV for us and if that really offends you so much, you need to get a grip. It's a television. Nothing important.

Please relax, Chris.

It doesn't offend me. But I have now seen in 2 threads, that you tell how pointless you (and your wife) think it is with those moving speakers.

I have made my point of wiew clear, so I won't repeat myself here. But I can just add, that this evening at the 'release party' I talked to a woman who didn't like the speaker beneath the screen on the BV 11 and V 1.
She liked the new Avant model, because when its off you can only see the screen - and when it's on you look at the screen (and not the speakers).
So -in that case it makes good sense.

BTW: I'm not upset or offended...However I see no reason for discussing this over the phone - unless you want to call me things you can not write on Beoworld without being censored... But, then again - there's no point in talking... ;-)

Have a nice day.
