As many of them, my beocenter had a problem with the tape door...

During my visit to my friend Leslie, he gave me all the tricks and techniques to put back the string in place (Leslie, your knowlesge of this receiver is incredible).

The most important advice you gave me was : "the only thing you need is patience".

So, the result is : after 30 minutes, everything was finish, I put the plate, push "load tape button" and... everything fall :(.

On the second try, I finallyunderstand and applyed exactly the technique you gave me (see picture ;)). It took me 1h to put the first string in place and 15 minutes for the second one !!!!!!

Now, the tape door open and close smoothly and quietly, as if it were new !!!

I can recommand to everybody who has this kind of problem to try, as Leslie says, "if you do it slowly, have patience and respect the diagram, it should work" ;)

I regret selling mine.  They are so hard to get in mint condition outside of Europe.

Got a few left (about 20) "chaka" so what stops you to get another one, except for the voltage. Thanks man!

Btw, Jacques did it al by himself, it's not that difficult...Chapeau mon ami
