The Beo4 (navi) can be used for the Avant!
Just received the response from BeoCare - took less than 2 hours
They confirm that it can be used - but they of cource recommend the BeoRemote One in order to have 'all the functions' working. ("for at få fuld udnytte af alle funktioner.")

There is a tv - and there is a BV
That is not a problem because you can name your sources your self. So if you have a playstation 5 in 2020 you will be able to name it on the remote your self. And the TV will download the code from the internet.
Beovision Harmony 77" 2nd Gen, Beolab 5, Beolab 17, Beosound 1, Beoplay M3, Beoplay Portal, Beoplay Earset, Beoliving Intelligence

The userguide says nothing about this, we will have to look for ourselves in the shop.
Unless somebody already know the answer.
My dealer told me that the BeoRemote One (steel finish) will be available in early July for purchase without the Avant.
Currently the 3 MyButtons do only work with the Avant. My dealer spoke with Struer and asked if they will also work with the BV11 in the future, but he did not receive a definite answer. :(

My dealer also told me this lunchtime the remote will be available as a standalone purchase from June/July, so looks like it will be sooner rather than later.
Bad news though if the "MyButtons" won't work with the BV11 etc. You'd have thought it just be a software update.

In Beo4 mode, they'll work as standard source buttons you can configure.

I was told that it is just a software update, but that Struer hasn't decided yet if they want to have the functionality for the other TVs as well. Maybe they want to keep the Avant somewhat exclusive...
Given it's going to be the standard remote, I cannot see how they can issue a remote that has three buttons that have no function on all but one TV. I am sure they'll update Beosytem 4 based TVs, otherwise that wouldn't make sense.

just put a small sticker on each of them

According to info from a dealer today, BeoRemote One will be available in "Autumn 2014", without the Avant.
So it seems – depending on where you ask – the info is all over the place.
The good thing is that the Avant is apparently selling very well, taking up all BeoRemote Ones B&O can produce. This is great for B&O.
What would be good to customers interested in BeoRemote One, is that B&O make an official statement of its availability – a more specific one than "Later this year", mentioned at bang-olufsen.com, and make the dealer-customer communication concise and unified across the dealer network. June won't happen, July won't happen, "autumn" is a ballpark of August, September and October, unless you live in Australia. The varied, ever-changing information is both frustrating and disappointing.
At this day & age, it's somewhat unbelievable that a corporation cannot calculate or even communicate their production volume more precisely – not even down to the month.
In keeping with my original post, if some dealer in Europe can sell me BeoRemote One any time soon, please PM me. I'm willing to pay extra, and will not disclose or comment any details about it. My Beo5 is at its EOL.
And I admit: this is "much ado about a remote". My only real gripe is the un-coordinated communication about BeoRemote One's availability.

B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.

Earlier today, I spoke with a sales person at the store I'll be demoing it at, and he mentioned they already have 3 orders. Great for B&O is right!!!
