Hi Beoworld  I have been so happy with my A8 for the last year and a half that I found a used beoplay 8. Now I can dock my ipod on the  8 upstairs in my house and it works great or I can switch to the A8 downstairs simply by pushing the screen button on the ipod. To try and make it sound as simple as possible I can control both A8 and the 8 without removing the ipod from the 8.  There now even I can understand what I'm trying to say.  The big question is.  Can it be possible to have music coming out of both machines at the same time?  I do not have any other B & O equipment, switches, connectors or wires I'm just hoping somebody has already tried this.  Thanks folks

Hi brymoody,

with an IPod connected to one A8 this won't be possible. Also if you disconnect your IPod you can also stream to one device via Airplay.

The way to go is installing ITunes on your PC so you can stream music from your PC to more than one device.

Or try the 'Multiroom music/radio player' app. With this app you can stream to more than one device via Airplay (didn't tested it by myself yet).

thank you Rauber   I did read through that app and it does sound interesting,  I will get some help from a teenager to read through it with me.  but it does say I cannot listen to a docked item and a airplay at the same time as of yet.  so maybe they are working on it.  I have to remember that only my A8 has airplay my older  beoplay 8 does not.

If one of your 8's doesn't have airplay, it's not a Beoplay 8 but a Beosound 8. If you connect your IPod directly to the dock of Beosound 8 it can't airplay at the same time to Beoplay 8.

But you can connect an Airport Express to Beosound 8, so you can airplay to both 8's with the app.

Yes Rauber I got an email from where I bought the Beosound 8 saying the Airport Express would do what I'm wanting. Sorry I called it a Beoplay 8. this company has too many B words. Thanks again
