I am restoring this beautiful Beogram 3000 with the Thorens TD 124MKII for a customer. The customer specified a very special finish.

The veneer - light oak

The color of the Thorens TD 124 - piano black

This is the result!

Frede,

that Oak finish as you know matches my 5000 system that you restored for me beautifully - I want one exactly the same!

I may have some funds available in October.  Can you PM me with a cost of a restored turntable like this for me to consider?

Lovely job as usual.

Dave.

Yes, when you restored my system It was on my 'wish list' but unemployment and health issues got in the way.  I currently use a BG4000 + MMC20CL but it's playing up a bit at the moment and I really want to keep the system true to the original set-up.

The 5000 system still leaves visitors in awe at it's beauty and sound for such an old system.

Send me the info and I'll try to discuss it with she whom must be obeyed!

Dave.

ps.  7 Stereo width boxes at the last count.  Any more orders?

I am one of Frede's enormously satisfied Beogram 3000 Thorens customers. He restored one for me some years ago, it gets almost daily use, and I remain one very happy and satisfied owner.

Frede is waiting for me to pick up some other components he has refurbished for me - already paid for, but the wait has been a long one. I don't trust any shipping company with them  and want to pick them up myself. Also to just have the joy of visiting him.

Here's mine:

Very nice.  I've just ordered one in Black and light Oak to match my system based on seeing these!  A very early Christmas present.

Wonderful decks - I too have been the lucky recipient of a Frede Thorens Beogram. The main difference in my experience is the quality of the bass which is extended and deep. It is now the only Beogram fully working in use that I have - my 400xs all have one malady or another!!
