Hello all,
A Mac question on behalf of one of my customers if i may? I'm not versed in iMovie at all - and although it's kind of a B&O question it's more of a Mac question.
He has an iMac, running Mountain Lion 10.9.3 - and is using iMovie.
He would like to transfer some stills and/or a home movie onto a DVD which will play on his BeoVision 7-40" Mk3.
The only option he can find is to export to Quicktime, which writes into files which will not play on his TV (.mov).
Would anyone have any recommendations as to a program or utility he can use?
Cheers,
Lee

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Unfortunately, Macs do not come with iDVD any longer...
You can use Toast:

p.
Beoworld app with direct photo upload and emoticons.
Thanks guys - you're very kind.
Thanks for your response but I think the query really relates to the file type that is written to enable the iMovie to be viewed on a beovision7-40. MP4 and .mov files are not recognised by the TV.
any suggestions of file type??
You can burn iMovie to DVD with iDVD. The following is the steps about how to burn iMovie to DVD with iDVD.
If you don't have iDVD, you can read through this guide on how to burn iMovie to DVD without iDVD to get the solution.
The much easier way is to install a Chromecast on de BV7. Easily the Chromcast can be fitted inside the cable panel behind the BV7. With the Chromacast you can stream your videos form your imac, plus you can also watch Netflix etc.
The initial question was asked in 2014.
Who burns a DVD today?
Of course things like the ChromeCast is a better solution.
