To day I received a real rare B&O 12" tonearm.
The B&O 12" tonearm in the original box. The tonearm, the SP2 and the box is in exelent condition.
The Tonearm and the SP2 have never been used.

Thats real nice, Congratulations, Frede.

Very nice.
Very nice indeed. It would be a shame to take it out of its box and use it.

And how would it go with my soon to be restored Beogram 3000 Thorens?
Dave.
Very well! I use one with mine though mine had seen a rather harder life as it was given to me but Tim Jarman and was used a a prize for the member of the year and was presented to Lee! I nicked it back and Frede fixed it! I commissioned a special lid to use as the normal one did not fit and Frede very kindly made a better version and gave me one! These really are splendid decks - every good home should have one!! They are really Thorens 124 mk II decks with a B&O plinth and arm so can be made from the Thorens deck. I think a fair number were sent the other way!!

I've tried the "proper" Thorens plinth with the deck, as well as the Schopper one, and actually prefer the B&O version, which is what I'm using.
Was lucky and found a 12" arm in the Philippines, through the web. Great guy there who builds amplifiers, restores vinyl players and generally is a mainstay of the hifi-community. We agreed a price and I got a very little used arm in a box, though not as pristine looking as the one Frede is showing here.
