ML setup question please help

Hi

I have just sell my bv 7 40 and since I unplugged it, I cannot hear the n.radio from my beosound 5 into my beolab 3500 in my kitchen.

Is it a problem of option ?

If it is a problem of option , I have only now a beolink 1000 and I dońt know if I can change the option with it.

I have a mlgw and I cannot control the beosound 5 and the beolab 3500 neither but I believe I have to modify the configuration and remove the bv 7 40.

The mlgw action has been activated into the beomaster 5 too so I should still be able to use it.

I have seen on beotech the options settings with a beolink 1000. Thanks beotech.

Unplug the gateway and test it out.

Sometimes the gateway confuses the ml network.

Try unplugging the 3500, bs5 and mlgw.  Wait a minute or two.  Plug them all back in.

I recently had a problem where my ML network divided.  One side of the house could only work with the tv, the other side only the bs9000/bs5 (each on a different side of the house).  Unplugging everyone, and replugging fixed it.

Unplugging/replugging solves most of our problems!

Mjmedlo you are definetely the specialist of the mlgw.

As soon as I have modified the mlgw configuration (delete of the bv 7 entry) everything worked perfectly, even the sound wheel.

New surprise.

I wanted to modify the sounds settings (bass, highs...) and I discovered that the content of the menu sound has disappeared.

It shows the next menu instead.

I try to restart it.

A restart solve this problem of menu

I never thought that just unplugged an element of the system could mess up the whole installation.

When you take a master of the ML network it confuses things.

It's usually best if you remove an audio or video master and have the MLGW to unplug the gateway while letting he other pieces reacquaint.

The gateway can hang things up when it has a change up.

Are you using your gateway for any automation?

With a lighting system ??

I would love to use it with an home automation system but in France we have not enough choice. Wireless lutron system could be an option but is is not available here.

According to the fact I don't use it enough (only 2 rooms with b&o equipment) , I even wonder if I will keep it

If I keep it I will probably take the control4 way.
