Hi

Why b&o won't produce a new avant without the center speaker and sub built in ?

Like the bv 7 without dvd or blu ray built in.

It would probably lower the price and people who already own a center speaker (bl 10 , bl 7.4 or 7.2) would be for sure interested by a cheaper version.

Crazy or not ?

To me the genius of the original Avant was that it not only encompassed the very best picture on the planet, but it came as a complete package of speakers, stand and players. All in a relatively small footprint.

If you just want the best picture, get an LG OLED and then whack on your speakers.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

You own and I owned a bv 7 and the bv 7 doesn't come with speakers.

Why should I change for a lg and why you won't abandon the bl 7.6 that you seem to love so much ?

Why there wouldn't be another option ?

A beovision is much more than a central speaker.

How many people are watching their tv with stereo speakers only? Much more than those who own a whole 5.1 system in particular if the tv is not in the main room.

If you look to the competition, nearly 100percent of the tv are stereo.

If the selling price is so important actually. They should do this, that´s logical.

B&o fans who already owns a pair of beolab 8000, 6000, 4000 ... will still enjoy their new avant without a central speaker built in.

The avant on the stand is amazing , ok but that doesn't mean the avant won't be wall mounted by some buyers, even with no electrical wall mount when they will be available.

Not using this magic floor stand removes something but the new avant still remains sexy for buyers. This is the same principle with the question of the central speaker.

For the first time, b&o gives us a great liberty for using the speakers (wired or wireless, rear or front, multiple combination) and the tv will stay bound to its central speaker ?

You want a replacement for the BeoVision 4.

Make an Email to Bang & Olufsen's customer service;

write your wishes. Yes - thumbs up

A replacement of the bv 7 , despite its name the bv avant, is the successor of the bv 7 55 not the bv 4.

The differences are that the bv 7 has the beosystem built in like the avant.

Except this motorised central speaker there are not real differences with a bv 7

You wait 2 years for your white beolit (maybe not you but beogreg sorry I don't remember), I won't be so patient ;)

The new BeoVision Avant replaces BeoVision 7.

Beovision 12NG is no longer manufactured.

It is logical that BeoSystem 4 should be coupled with a new screen.

Yes, it's me who wrote to customer service for a Beolit 12 white edition. Yes - thumbs up

Bang & Olufsen should release a new minimalist TV.

A single black glass screen without speakers.

The screen is connected to Beosystem 4. Yes - thumbs up

With the build quality of b&o it could be fantastic.

The color gradient is really beautiful and this part could hide the bs 4 as well.

It looks like the work of the artist who works aluminium with b&o. Sorry I don't remember her name neither

Just imagine what a 'screen-only' BSys4 based tv with an external centerspeaker and 2 external frontspeakers would cost today.

I am not sure there would be a market for that.

And we would need new external center speaker as well - or a new edition of the BL7-4/BL10.

Or maybe a 'screen-only' version with a re-designed BL7-6 Confused

And how would you combine an external center speaker with the new stand?

Maybe that 'tv' should come only in a wall-hanged version?

'Many already have speakers', someone wrote - I am sure B&O is not willing to take the risk of producing

a 'screen-only tv' just to please these costumers.

How much would you be willing to pay for that version - by the way?

This may be a pious hope - but surely nothing to keep the wheels of B&O rolling.

My best advice for BeoBoy68/olvisab -  buy the damn Philips tv and a BeoSystem 4 - and re-use your existing speakers...

....I wonder where you'll place the center speaker Huh?

"Or maybe a 'screen-only' version with a re-designed BL7-6"

I vote for this.

You seem to consider the avant is perfect but I don't think so.

Sales figures will say.

Without the central speakers let's say 800/1000 euros less.

Whatever my choice the beolab 7.2 will be on its wall mount under the screen.

Nothing strange as it is the usual set up for a beovision 7 on a wall.

what is the price of the bs4 and can it be used with any other screen

The BSys4 can certainly be used with a non-B&O tv.

There was something about that in a thread (?) recently on the forum.

The BeoSystem 4 cost DK 28.000 (€ 3.800).

It can be used with some other TVs.

@ Millemissen

There is market for High End TV screen.

The BeoVision 4 saled very well in the past.

I am sure, Bang & Olufsen will launch a TV screen.

Not everyone want a TV with all included. Yes - thumbs up

Actually I think there are a number of B&O customers who probably do want the whole package. If you have existing equipment, for example speakers, then you simply extend and build your system further, 5.1/7.1 surround for example. That's how I see it anyhow.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

I was so close to buying the DesignLine TV but when I saw a demo and saw the picture... Erm!!! Also, having had B&O is a funny old thing, no matter how hard I may 'try' at times to look elsewhere, I always... ALWAYS end up coming back! And I am so pleased I do. B&O are just great, really. I honestly don't believe they have any rivals and I love their ethos and concept. Who wants lots of remotes, sub par designs and plastic builds with no magic? Not me!

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

We can rebuild him...we have the technology.

In France he costs far more, we call him "the man who worths 3 billions".

Probably because we don't own the technology and we bought it to us or danemark. :)

Please b&o give me the technology and I will build you a cheaper new new avant.

After having read these last postings, I still have one question:

Why are you guys so keen on getting an 'Avant' without the speakers?

Is it because you think that it would be cheaper, and you would be able to keep your current center speaker (or your BL7-*)?

Or because you don't like the looks of the Avant speakers (or the magic movement)?

Or because you think that your current tv speaker is a more capable speaker than what is built into the Avant?

Or do you simply concider the built-in speakers bad?

Please give me some/your reasons.

With pleasure MM.

From the most important to the less :

- the look of it

- its sound compared to other center speakers

- the limited performance of built in speakers. They have done a great job but they can't do miracle neither.

- the price for something you don't intend to use and annoy you if you can't disable it.

But the 7 was a modular design from the outset, the Avant was always a standalone unit which required virtually no external devices.

Personally I've never got the point of a Beovision without speakers, as it is the combination stand, speakers and in our case a Bluray player that makes them utterly unique.

The Avant without a center speaker would be a good idea! And a personal choice when choosing..Also you could use the Wisa for speaker connection...

If B&O did a Avant 40" that would fit in my bedroom.. I'd be sold.

At the mo I have a Bv 32 with 4000 Center and four 6000's. The 40" would be as big as I could go!

I guess that 4K resolution for a 40" screen would be a bit 'overkill'.

In that size Full HD is enough. I doubt anyone could see the difference.

I really don't understand why people want the Avant without speakers. This newly constructed model is precisely designed with front and center speakers to be always correctly positioned at you and thus fully enjoy the sound, no matter where you're seating position is in the room. Is that not one of the intentions of this Avant with base and included speakers.
