Hey guys,
I bought my Beogram 1202 two years ago from a store which had restored the turntable. Now, finally I have moved into a place where I have set it up, but now the it turns out the 'wheel' is not turning when I turn it in - though it is making a sound like some motor is moving.
Any solution?

Welcome to Beoworld.
Assuming it had the transport screws fastened when it was stored - first make sure they are loosened. Is the drive belt still attached and OK? If the motor is running, it's likely the belt is snapped, come off or stuck to the platter.

I did loosen the three skreves. I just saw that the belt has fallen off - I have a hard time setting it into place, so it will stay there. Plus, the couple of times I have set it into place and the platter has started to turn, the ticking noise is still there..
Any idea there this might come from?
The belt will often fall off if you run the deck without the platter.

Thaks, Martin. That helpes with the plate - it is now turning as it should. Though, I still get the ticking noise..
Can you tell if the ticking comes once per revolution of the platter, the idler wheel or the motor ?
It seems to come from the wheel (top left corner) which the strap is attached to.
Two possible reasons;- The rubber on the idler wheel has deformed after years of being pressed against the motor spindle pulley.- The partition of the idler wheel that carries the belt has dried and hardened remains of old belt rubber sitting in its groove.
