Dear members,

my Beogram 4000 stops to late when playing small records (works with large records). Anybody an idea what adjustments are needed in order to fix the problem? Is there a microswitch responsible for that?

Greetings,

Kai

From memory, record end is detected from the sudden faster movement of the carriage (due to the lead-out grooves).
I seem to remember three trimmers right next to eachother, near the right front edge/corner of the main board and
the one in question here is the center one of the three.
My memory is fading fast though and it has been some time since the last BG4000 on the bench.

Dear Martin,

thanks evry much for that information. How can identify the trimmer? Sounds like there is a probability to find the correct part. Can it be replaced by a donor component? Would it be possible to mark the part in question on a photo? Doesn't sound like a beginner's task...

Greetings,

Kai

Nothing B&O is beginners task, really.
Let alone tangentials - and Beogram 4000 in particular.

An adjustment of the trimmer in question would suffice, I should think.
If not, a replacement. It's a standard component and not very expensive.
