I have been quite here for a while as the work on the BC1200 takes time.I have read on a few places that BC1200 doesn´t perform as good as the BC2400.Okey I havent got to the BC2400 I recently got yet.But I thought ..how good can a BC1200 be ?Some 24 years ago I as trimming, tuning, Revox machines quiet often and remember that well adjusted you couldnt hear any difference after record on 38 cm /s on 19 cm / second..yes , a small differernce.I have many minor issues with the BC1200 that I wll continuie with, but I took a brake and recapped the play and record section with Panasonic caps, and after that I did some manual BIAS adjustment by ear.Well, before recap and BIAS adjustment, the BC sounded adecuate..like a good cassettdeck. But after recap and the simple BIAS adjustment, I can say the BC1200 exploded in sound quality and it is as near a Revox it can be on 19cm/sI still have some headroom problem, and some in-out level issues which I will deal with once new testtapes have arrived.. ( the old testtapes I had was binned after i had listened to them )But it will be an interesting journey of how good a BC1200 can be.Does it deliver excellent sound quality, I can already say YES!. Small , slim, qute and as close as an Revox you can get in sound quality on 19cm/s
