Hello,

I have a pair of beolab 2500 and when in standby they make a humming electrical sound.

Like a power transformer.

I guess ther is a problem with the power supply.

Did you already encounter such a problem, and if yes, is it possible to fix this with a spare ?

Thanks for your help

Hello,

for me, I have had this humming sound in my speakers when they are connected to different outlets than the main sours (i.e. an earth problem).

Have you tried switching power outlets (or have you recently connected something else to the same outlet as the speakers)?

Hello,

I tried all this, but since the humming is in only one of the speaker, i suspect the speaker to be faulty.

I would suspect one of the electrolytic capacitors on the amplifier for that speaker.
