Hi,

As the build costs for my planned extension seem to be going up, my plan for the new living room was to have a BV7 which I have now put on hold for a while. I will be keeping my AV9000 and would like to have a projector in the same room for watching films.

My thinking is to get an oppo 103 and then have the Beolabs connected to that for fronts and rears and have one HDMI going to the projector and the other going to via HDMI converter to scart and the line out for the centre channel going to the AV9000 with that being used for the centre channel only. Also considering a powerlink switch to the fronts for listening to CD through the AV9000!

Connected to the Oppo will be a freeview box and ATV.

Would this work? What would I need to consider getting this to work? Would the picture quality be fine for watching on the AV9000 for TV programs?

Hope you can help.

Regards

Toby

Your setup sounds correct, but I am not sure about the video connection.

If you have an s-video connector on the AV9000, you should get a marginally better picture than from the scart, assuming scart is composite video?

My only concern with your setup would be possible processing lag due to the video converter.

You could modify the Oppo to get the sync correct on the TV, but that might make the sync incorrect on the projector.
